The Young Won't Forget | 2021 - present | Feature Documentary | DP + Producer
"Three multi-ethnic cousins help each other navigate their lives, identities and experiences as second-generation members of the Palestinian diaspora living in the global North."
A former Prime Minister of Israel once said of Palestinians: “The old will die, and the young will forget ''. Seventy-five years later, that statement has proven incredibly false. After millions of attempts to silence and erase Palestinians, even whilst in forced exile the Palestinian cause grows stronger with each passing generation. The old have held onto their keys, the young have held onto their hopes.
The film has thus far received the 2020 BendFilm's BIPOC Women Film Production Grant, which supports BIPOC women artists with $10,000 towards making their feature film. At the moment, the film has finished its first round of principal photography and is fundraising for post-production. However, given the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the film is currently on hiatus to divert resources and attention toward supporting Gaza. More updates will be posted when production resumes.

A Diasporic Boricua | 2019 - present | Short Documentary | Director
Rodriguez's A Diasporic Boricua is a short-experimental documentary that seeks to address the role of inter-generational trauma within the Puerto Rican Diasporic community. Currently, the film is in its production phase.
The film has thus far received the Princess Grace Award John H. Johnson Film Honor Undergraduate Film Scholarship, in addition to the Best Documentary Pitch Award granted by the Film at Mason advisory board.

This is a collaborative project between Co-Director/Producer Skye Ellis along with Samaria Marley and Malka Roth who are the two Co-Founders of the DC Mutual Aid Apothecary. This ongoing project seeks to document the work of the DC Mutual Aid Apothecary, connect folks with the resources from the apothecary, and also connect resources back to support the work of the apothecary.
